Dedicated to Yemaya

Offerings: Fish, cantaloupe, berries, coconut, white wine, sea food and coffee.

Supplies: A symbol for Yemaya would be dolphin, fish, shells and a necklace with white and blue beads (alternating).

Goal: To help me heal and to resolve family related issues.

Raise Power: Meditation using a rooting technique. Imagine yourself in your peaceful place and seeing roots flowing from your body. Place the roots in the ground and allow all good energy enter you. Feel the music playing to calm your mind.

Cast Circle:

1. Guardians of the North, powers of endurance and strength guided by the Earth, representatives of Calas, I call upon to watch over me tonight within the circle. I give you this offering of (Earth symbol like sand, dirt and crystals) to let all that come in perfect love and perfect trust. Draw a pentagram with your Athame or knife.
2. Guardians of the East, powers of endurance and strength guided by the Air, representatives of Awyr, I call upon to watch over me tonight within the circle. I give you this offering of (Air symbol like incense, burnable herbs and burnable powders) to let all that come in perfect love and perfect trust. Draw a pentagram with your Athame or knife.
3. Guardians of the South, powers of endurance and strength guided by the Fire, representatives of Ufel, I call upon to watch over me tonight within the circle. I give you this offering of (fire symbol like candles) to let all that come in perfect love and perfect trust. Draw a pentagram with your Athame or knife.
4. Guardians of the West, powers of endurance and strength guided by the Water, representatives of Gwyar, I call upon to watch over me tonight within the circle. I give you this offering of (water symbol like bowl or glass of water) to let all that come in perfect love and perfect trust. Draw a pentagram with your Athame or knife.

Place your offerings on your altar.

Hold your symbol for Yemaya and chant:

“Yemaya, Mother of the Ocean, help guide my family and I to a happier and better life. We have (explain what’s going on) that needs to be worked though. Please heal myself and my family, so we can move forward with a new outlook on life.”

Take in all their energy and imagine all these good things coming to your life.

When you are finished, thank Yemaya for her time. Be sure to leave the offering on the altar for three days, clean up your sacred space and then close the circle.
